If the AI identifies a gap, revise the query to reflect the actual manuscript. The revision should not be a wholesale rewrite; the query letter's architecture is sound. 2. What does the thesis know that you hope it has managed to put on the page in a form that will still be true in twenty years, when you are a different writer, when the literary landscape is different, when the concerns that governed the making of this work feel distant even to you? Write to that reader honestly, as one writer to another across time. You have never written anything more lasting than the thesis you are finishing this week. Tell the reader who will find it what it meant to make it.
